Throughout July I got 44 books, I may have gone a bit overboard… But some were given to me as trades and to review!

First up I thought I’d share the books that I got through doing #booksfortradeuk over on Twitter and using the ReadItSwapIt website and a book swap I took part in on Twitter!

Through ReadItSwapIt I got a few books, a Frozen arc by Melissa De La Cruz and Michael Johnston, I’ve been looking at getting this book for a while but if I don’t enjoy it very much I might pass it along on twitter.

Next I got Fragile Eternity and Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr to complete my series, I’ve started Wicked Lovely a while back but I need to reread it so I can continue on with the series.

IMG_4754
I got Rouge Wave by Jennifer Donnelly which is the second book in Waterfire Saga and I also have the third one on the way so I can binge read this as well!

IMG_4744
I got another two books from someone else, an arc of Show Stopper by Hayley Barker, it’s so beautiful and I’ve been hyped for it since I heard about it, and Gilded Cage by Lucinda Gray, I’ve seen this around on eBay and that but I never actually I saw Flashfall by Jenny Moyer go up on ReadItSwapIt so I had to get it! I was lucky enough that this was a FairyLoot copy so its also signed and I also got the bookmark for it.decided to buy it so this was a great opportunity to get it.

Another two that I got were What Light by Jay Asher, I enjoyed his 13 Reasons Why book so I thought I’d give his other works a read! Fathomless by Jackson Pearce I haven’t read any of his books as of yet but I do own Sister Red by him but I wanted to get this book a few years ago so now I’ve got it, I still probably won’t read it for a while..

IMG_4731
I traded for this copy of Laini Taylor’s Days of Blood and Starlight and now I just need the first and third one in hardcover as well then I shall binge read these! I have read Daughter of Smoke and Bone once before but it’s been a while and I want to reread it before carrying on.

IMG_4728
Evernight by Claudia Gray I first read Defy the Stars earlier this year and it was incredible and now I need to read more by Claudia Gray so now I’ve got this, I also bought Spellcaster a while back to read! The second one was a bit of a cover choose Some Quiet Place by Kelsey Sutton I haven’t really looked up much on this but I had a quick look on Goodreads before I decided and it did sound like my type of book.

IMG_4724
This is my last trade book, A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir, I think I’m going to start this soon but I may reread An Ember in the Ashes first just so I can remember what was going on.

IMG_4849
Cargo by Jen Castleberry, This was mainly a cover chose because it is just so beautiful, it sounds good and it’s actually quite a short book, only 179 pages!
IMG_4867
I got Our Dark Duet by V. E. Schwab, this is the sequel to This Savage Song, I’m planning on binge reading these!

Next are books that I got in exchange for a review from publishers or websites and one that I won.

IMG_4780
I was contacted by an publisher about reading and reviewing Kitty Hawk and the Curse of Yukon Gold by Iain Reading, so they kindly sent me a paperback copy so I’m excited to give this a read it sounds very different from something that I would usually read.

IMG_4834
I won an arc of Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor from Chapter 5/Hdoder along with some swag!

The rest of these books are ones that I have bought myself.

IMG_4833
I bought myself new copies of The Mortal Instrument Series by Cassandra Clare from The Book People and it was less that £10 including shipping!

IMG_4820
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a copy of The Cresswell Plot by Eliza Wass for a while but it has always been a bit expensive but I managed to finally find a copy which was less that £4.

IMG_4819
I got both the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff editions of the anniversary copies so now I have them all in hardcover and paperback even though I probably didn’t need to…

IMG_4816
I just had to buy Avenged by Am Tintera, the first book, Ruined was just amazing and I finished it so quickly.

IMG_4814
I bought Now I Rise by Kierstin White and Contagion by Teri Terry from Waterstones, they were buy one get one half price, so how could I resist? I have’t yet read And I Darken but I think I’m going to binge read these two and despair because I’ll have to wait for the third one. I haven’t yet read anything by Teri Terry but I own her Mind Games and Slated so I need to get around to them soon.

IMG_4808
The Black Witch by Laurie Forest. There has been so much controversial talk about this book but I thought I’d make my own opinions by reading this myself, I think I’ll end up disagreeing with what people are saying about the racism in this book but don’t worry I’m going to respect your opinions because they are your own.

IMG_4803
The Forever Ship by Francesca Haig, I have been so excited for this since I finished reading the second books last year and I haven’t even read this yet because I need to recap on what happened in the past two books.

IMG_4801
Roar by Cora Carmack, I haven’t heard much about this but I know that this is going to be a book that I will enjoy.

IMG_4798
One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus, I actually bought this last month and it is in my June Book Haul as an arc, but I didn’t want the arc so I traded it away and bought myself a full cover edition in Tesco.

IMG_4789
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch, I kind of bought this as a cover buy, I’d never heard of it before but it was 2 for £7 up Tesco so I thought, why not? I’m a major impulse shopper when it comes to books… I need to go on a book ban.

IMG_4786
Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine, The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent and Unrivalled by Alyson Noel. I bought all of these for£5 at The Works, I’ve never read anything by Rachel Caine before but I’ve heard about the book a lot, I’ve read one book by Rachel Vincent before, My Soul to Take but not going to finish the series but I decided to pick this up as a third book. I’ve read and loved Alyson Noel’s Soul Seekers series and when I saw this I knew I had to get it.

IMG_4668
Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia, the cover and the blurb made me want this so much, I’ve seen it all over bookstagram and the illustrations inside it are absolutely amazing!

IMG_4851
With Malice by Eileen Cook, I got this used for about £2.81 on Amazon, I didn’t look up much about it I just read the blurb and I just knew that I needed this book in my life, I mean an accident that maybe wasn’t an accident? a physiological thriller… it was a must.

IMG_4535
Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody, a highly anticipated 2017 release for me, the cover is so beautiful and I managed to get my copy at the beginning of July before the actual release date!

And that’s it! That’s my entire July book haul, it may be one too many but that’s bookworm problems for you. Have you read any of these books? Did you enjoy them? Let me know in the comments! I’m also going to try and go on a book buying ban for most of August (the 25th as I get paid then), I’m also broke already so that helps… 😂
