Thank you to Sourcebooks Fire for sending me an ARC copy of this book to read!
Belle Revolte was one of my most anticipated reads for 2020 so I was happy when I got an email offering it! I ended up hearing quite a few mixed options on this book but I went into it with an open mind and I ended up really enjoying it.
Belle Revolte has two points of view, first we have Emilie, she is a noble who would rather learn the noon day arts and becoming a physician than attending a finishing school to learn divination. Then we have Annette, her family overworks here and she realises if she just leaves they wouldn’t worry and assume she’s run away.
Annette and Emilie’s lives collide when Emilie stumbles across Annette and offers a once in a lifetime opportunity and all Annette has to do is pretend to be noble Emilie and take her place at the finishing school whilst Emilie goes off to a school to learn noon day arts.
I ended up really enjoying this one, it’s not just two girls swapping lives but they’re both caught up within the war that’s happening and finding a way to take down the king by joining the rebellion not realising that the other is also involved.
Belle Revolte is my first book that I’ve read by Linsey Miller so I would definitely be up to trying out some of her other books and I’m looking forwards to another book she has out this year, The Game which sounds really good.
