On My Shelf Tag

I thought I’d do the On My Shelf tag, I asked on instagram and twitter for a number between 1 and 737 (the amount of books I own..) and for each number I’ll count on my shelf to the corresponding book and tell you a little bit about it!

This is also great for you to get some recommendations as most of the numbers picked I have actually read!

2 – Archenemies by Marissa Meyer

This is the sequel to Renegades, I have read and really enjoyed this one, I actually did a spoiler review on this one so I can go back to it when Supernova releases and remember what happened!

6 – Children of Blood and Bone by Tom Adeyemi

I absolutely L O V E D this book and was lucky enough to read it early, this copy is my Barnes and Noble exclusive, it’s absolutely gorgeous and I am looking forwards to book two but what Tomi did with Nora Roberts just made me a bit😬😬😬😬

7 – Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller

I buddy read this one with Suzanne (@bookmarvel), I struggled to get into it a little bit but I ended up liking it in the end! I really need to get to her Daughter of the Pirate King duology soon though!

13 – My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

I got this one in an Owlcrate so it’s signed! I loved My Lady Jane but I haven’t yet had the chance to get around to this one yet but I hope I love it just as much as the first Jane book!

16 – Spindle Fire by Lexi Hillyer

This is the first book in the duology, it is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty and it was just so good that I ended up binged them both! I really recommend it!

23 – Tiger at Midnight by Swati Teerdhala

I got this one in an Litjoy Crate, I haven’t read this one yet but it’s such a gorgeous exclusive cover and I hope to read it soon!

44 – Flesh & Bone by Jonathan Maberry

This is the third book to Rot & Ruin, I haven’t yet read this series but I’m hoping to binge it for October month as I like to read books like this around Halloween!

54 – An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

I have read this but I don’t remember much so I need to reread it so that I can carry on with the series, I remember liking it but that’s about it. I bought the paperback edition that came out last year as they changed the covers… (I hate it when they do that!)

67 – Wish Granter by C J Redwine

This is the sequel to The Shadow Queen, I have read the first but still need to carry on the series, I kinda want to grab the other two books in the series before carrying on but we shall see about that!

88 – Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte

I actually recently read this with Suzanne as part of our buddy reads and I really enjoyed it, a murder mystery in a fantasy world, it had twists that I didn’t expect and I was completely sucked into it, plus the cover is so pretty!

93 – Genesis by Brendan Reichs

I have read this one, it’s the sequel to Nemesis, I thought this ended as a duology but turns out there’s a third book which I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that until I read it as I thought that this ended really well.

231 – Blood Promise by Richelle Mead

This is the fourth book in the Vampire Academy series, I read these so long ago and I remember that I really enjoyed the series but I do need to reread them at some point as I’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. However my set of this series is completely mismatched cover wise!

438 – Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE SERIES – if you haven’t yet read the Shatter Me series, I highly recommend it, Defy Me is a little disappointing as not a lot happens in it but you can bet I’m hella excited for the sixth book Imagine Me to release next year!

450 – How To Be Luminous by Harriett Reuter Hapgood

I received this one from MyKindaBook/PanMacmillan to read and review, I really enjoyed it and my review is currently in progress, the book is out this month – June 27th!

456 – Sherwood by Meagan Spooner

I buddy read this one earlier this year with Suzanne! I bought this one on my trip to America and couldn’t resist grabbing it from Barnes and Noble. A female Robin Hood, it was a fantastic read and you can find my review for it here!

468 – Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

OF ALL THE AURORA’S IT COULD’VE PICKED! It choose my normal plain hardback edition, this was my second copy of Aurora Rising, I have five copies in total.. I only bought this plain one because I was too impatient to wait half the month of May to wait for one of my special editions.. you can find my review of this here.

479 – War Storm by Victoria Aveyard

I’m too freaking scared to read this one, I’ve read and l o v e d the Red Queen series so far but this last one I’m like, do I??? I’m not even sure I want to bother, but I guess we shall see! Also UK decided to start doing them in hardback when this came out so it’s taller than my US hardbacks which slightly annoys me..

527 – The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

I have two copies of this but this one is my ARC copy of it, I actually found this in a charity shop which surprised me to be honest. I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forwards to the sequel coming out!

528 – In Search Of by Ava Dellaira

This is my ARC copy of In Search Of sent by Hot Key Books and the book is now actually called In Search Of Us. I flew this one, it was a beautifully written story and I was on the verge of tears!

619 – Wild Blue Wonder by Carlie Sorosiak

This is a contemporary and Carlie’s second YA novel, I haven’t yet read this one despite the fact I really enjoyed her first book. I bought this at YALC last year but to be honest I’m not sure I want to read it anymore and I’m thinking of unhauling it.

652 – Dread Nation by Justina Ireland

This is my copy sent by Titan Books, I haven’t reviewed this yet but I have read it, I really enjoyed it, it has zombies and it’s a historical fiction!

666 – a few of you actually picked this number and I’d be concerned with you all if I wasn’t too one of those people who’d choose such a number..  any the devil book that was chosen was..

The Chosen by Taran Matharu!

I love love LOVED this one, this is my hardback copy which I grabbed from Waterstones, SIGNED! It’s got dinosaurs and I don’t think there’s much more you need to know about this one to be honest. Go buy it.

730 – Crowns of Croswald by D E Night

This was sent to me by the publisher, I did enjoy it but I’m having a small struggle to get into the sequel but hopefully I’ll be in the mood for it soon!

736 – Sigil of the Wyrm by A J Campbell

This was a book that I got at my first time at YALC which I haven’t yet read, I’m not too sure if I’m even interested in it anymore but it’s signed and personalised so we shall see.

737 – Inherited by Freedom Matthews

I got this in a trade, its signed and personalised (to someone else) but I’m not sure if I’m interested in reading this one anymore either, anyone recommend it?

This was fun! I hope to find more tags similar like this to do! 🙂
