I thought I’d do a quick post on Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. The brand new TV show that just dropped on Amazon Prime was something I was extremely looking forwards to as I absolutely LOVE David Tennant and the trailer looked absolutely AMAZING! So I decided to pop into Waterstones and pick up the book and try and get it read before the TV show released..
I made it to page 235 and just gave up, (MY FIRST DNF OF THE YEAR!!!) I was over the half way mark and I just put it down and found absolutely zero motivation to pick it up again, I found it so incredibly dull and boring, I thought it just dragged on a bit too much so with that being done and dusted I still wanted to watch the TV program as it looked better anyway.
I don’t think there are many books in which I could say the TV/film was better but THIS IS! The show is 10x more fun than the book, the actors are perfect especially David Tennant (not sure if it’s obvious that I love David??)BUT I HAVE YET TO WATCH THE FINALE THOUGH as I’ve been watching them with my boyfriend so we will watch the last one at the weekend :3 and I need to rewatch the second half of episode 5 as I fell asleep.. whoooops.
I’d love to hear what your opinion is on this, what did you think of the book? Or just the show if you’ve only watched that!
