A brand new series from Booktuber Lucy Powrie – about what happens when you give up on trying to fit in and let your weird out! It’s time to join The Paper & Hearts Society …
Tabby Brown is tired of trying to fit in. She doesn’t want to go to parties – in fact, she would much rather snuggle up on the sofa with her favourite book.
It’s like she hasn’t found her people …
Then Tabby joins a club that promises to celebrate books. What could go wrong? EVERYTHING – especially when making new friends brings out an AWKWARD BUZZING feeling all over her body.
But Olivia, Cassie, Henry and Ed have something that makes Tabby come back. Maybe it’s the Austen-themed fancy-dress parties, or Ed’s fluffy cat Mrs Simpkins, or could it be Henry himself …
Can Tabby let her weird out AND live THE BEST BOOKISH LIFE POSSIBLE?
Thank you BKMRK for sending me a free ARC copy of this book to review!
I just DEVOURED this one in one sitting, I got sucked in instantly and it was just the perfect bookworm book! It was so cute, the adventures, the romance, friendship and let’s not forget.. THE BOOKS!
Tabby has just moved down to where her grandma lived during the summer before her parents also move down to join her. Tabby checks a book out of the library with a note about a book club to join where she meets Olivia, Cassie, Henry and Ed, they become fast friends but there’s someone from her old school who just won’t leave Tabby alone. The five friends go on a literary road trip around England – which sounds amazing! This book isn’t just about books but Lucy has written a story about teens with anxiety and deals with bullying, I feel that Lucy has done such an excellent job with this one and I know that this will be one that I can just pick up and read for something fluffy and fun!
I loved the book recommendations throughout this one, I know which ones I now need to read which are on my TBR so they’ll be bumped up – thanks Lucy!
I’m super excited for book two, I can’t wait to see what happens next and I am rooting for Tabby and Henry! This book has definitely made me 10 times more excited for YALC because the friendships and book club fun in this book is the exact thing that I’m looking forwards to at YALC!
Highly recommend this, it’s out in June so get preordering and UK friends there is a preorder incentive going out where you can get your own Paper & Hearts Society book club pin – I will link that here.
