The gripping fifth installment in the New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly bestselling Shatter Me series. Will Juliette’s broken heart make her vulnerable to the strengthening darkness within her?

Juliette’s short tenure as the supreme commander of North America has been an utter disaster. When the children of the other world leaders show up on her doorstep, she wants nothing more than to turn to Warner for support and guidance. But he shatters her heart when he reveals that he’s been keeping secrets about her family and her identity from her—secrets that change everything.

Juliette is devastated, and the darkness that’s always dwelled within her threatens to consume her. An explosive encounter with unexpected visitors might be enough to push her over the edge.

AHHHHHHHHH, I’ve been eager for Defy Me for an entire year after reading and being destroyed by Restore Me! Defy Me is one of the shortest out of the five books and I completely devoured it! Defy Me is done from three points of view, Juliette, Warner and Kenji. I feel like there wasn’t an awful lot that actually happened in this one compared to the others and some parts were a bit anticlimactic but overall I really enjoyed it plus I love Juliette and Warner with all my heart😍

I’ve given all of the previous books five stars but this one ended up being just 4.5 as I felt it just wasn’t the same compared to the others but that ending was PERFECT and not soul destroying compared to the ending of Restore Me. I’m looking forwards to the final instalment to this one, assuming that it is the final instalment this time around, as much as I love this series I feel like there isn’t too much more that can be done to be honest.

I know that I will probably be rereading (and devouring) the entire series again at the beginning of next year so that I’m completely ready for the final book and who knows, maybe my reread will end up giving this book the .5 it’s missing but we shall see! I still need to buy and read Shadow Me which is a Kenji novella, which I will do soon :3

Are you a fan of this series or not so much? I feel this series you’re either completely invested in or don’t like it/not interested in it whatsoever, I don’t think that there is an in-between😂
