Governing under the sinister control of Vespus Corrigan, and isolated from her friends, Sorrow must find a way to free herself from his web. But Vespus has no plans to let her go – and Sorrow soon realises he isn’t her only enemy.

As the curse of her name threatens to destroy her and everything she’s fought for, can Sorrow reclaim her past and save her people?

A thrilling dark sequel to State of Sorrow, from bestselling author Melinda Salisbury.

I buddy read this book with the lovely Suzanne at @bookmarvel!

How gorgeous are these books?! They’re the most beautiful books I’ve ever seen and the sprayed edges on Song of Sorrow is just 😍😍😍

Song of Sorrow is the conclusion to State of Sorrow. State of Sorrow ended with me having a lot of question and sadly having to wait an entire year to find out what’s going to happen next but now it’s finally here!!!!

Like the first book, I did find the first 100 pages to be a little slow going, it’s such a beautifully written book but despite the fact I’m usually a fast reader, I found it very slow to get going however once I got to part two, things really picked up and I was getting dragged into the story a lot easier!

Things got exciting and intense and then I sadly had to put it down to go to work where I proceeded to think about it all day and then I tried to only read to the end of part two but I was so drawn into the story and just needed to know what’s going on that I just couldn’t put it down!

I don’t want to say anything about the plot of this book because I feel that that is spoilers for the first book! I thought that Song of Sorrow was very well done and I’m glad that it all wrapped up nicely and the ending of this book was extremely fast paced.

I love Melinda Salisbury’s books so I’m really looking forwards to seeing what she will be writing next!
