AMY
has left the life she loves
for a world 300 years away.

Trapped in space and frozen in time, Amy is bound for a new planet. But fifty years before she’s due to arrive, she is violently woken, the victim of an attempted murder. Now Amy’s lost on board and nothing makes sense – she’s never felt so alone.

Yet someone is waiting for her.
He wants to protect her –
and more if she’ll let him

But who can she trust amidst the secrets and lies?
A killer is out there – and Amy has nowhere to hide…

This will be a quick review as I don’t really have a lot to say about this one.

I think I would have enjoyed this one a lot more if I had read it when I bought it like five years ago, I’ve only read Beth Revis’s newer book, Give The Dark My Love, which I LOVED, they’re both so different especially writing style wise so I presume her writing has changed a bit since then.

The book is done from two points of view, Amy who had been frozen and was violently awoken 50 years before she was meant to as an attempted murder. And the other is Elder, the next leader of the ship, who wants to protect Amy. Amy wants to find the murderer and fast so that she can protect her parents who are still frozen.

I was really interested in the idea of this story but I found some parts to be boring, some parts I found the characters a bit meh. There were some parts that I liked, not sure about the romance in this book to be honest.. I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to continue this series on, I’m intrigued at the next two books but don’t know if I’d like them.. would love to hear what you thought of this series and if you recommend finishing the trilogy!
