About The Book
I am now officially up to date on all of Sara Barnard’s books! I’m so glad that I started reading her books at the end of 2018 as all I wanted to do was get them complete so I can say I’ve read them all!
I absolutely loved reading Sara’s books and to put them in order I would put this one last as it wasn’t as good as her other books (in my opinion) below are her books in order of favourites! The 1 and 2 are both five stars and 3 and 4 are both four stars!
- Fierce Fragile Hearts
- A Quiet Kind of Thunder
- Beautiful Broken Things
- Goodbye, Perfect
I really liked the main character of this book Eden thought admittedly I did get a little bit annoyed at her for her decisions regarding the disappearance of her best friend whose run off with her teacher who she’s in love with. Eden decided to keep it a secret of her whereabouts but if it was me, I’d have snitched and told the police even if it meant I’d lose my best friend because then at least I’d know she’s truly safe.. But if that happened in the book I suppose it would have ended ten minutes in 😂 However I do think that Sara has handled this subject so so well and she’s definitely on par with my other favourite contemporary novelist Holly Bourne! Can’t wait to see what Sara will bring out next she’s definitely one to look out for :3
