This is going to be a fairly quick review as I don’t really have a lot to say about this book. I’d eyed up this book for a long time, since I properly got back into reading in 2015 but I hadn’t actually bought it till now.
It was an interesting read and not what I thought it was, I rarely read blurbs so I actually thought this was aliens because of the eyes on the cover!
So we have the main character Pagan who can see souls and then one day one of them starts talking to her and his name is Dank, he’s not like the other Souls and it turns out he’s not a soul at all but Death himself and she starts falling for him. In the real world Pagan starts dating someone else, Leif, I thought he was an okay character but he’s very overprotective and a bit annoying I actually felt sorry for him as I didn’t find this a very interesting love triangle whatsoever.
The ending was interesting and it does leave you on a bit of a cliffhanger but not one that makes me want to buy the next book as soon as possible. I did have some issues with the writing style and some grammar problems but it wasn’t difficult to read or anything.
This was my first Abbi Glines book, I’ve also ordered three of her other contemporary reads and I hope they’re good, I must say that I am actually expecting them to be better than this one.
