Sadly in June I didn’t read as many books as I wished that I had but nonetheless I did managed to read 6 books, 3 of which were review books!
To start off with I first read and completed Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves, I gave this book four out of five stars on goodreads, it was an interesting read and I want to read more about it, when I finished this book I wasn’t entirely sure if there was going to be another book but alas the second book is called Lost Crow Conspiracy which is out next year on March 27th and I’m excited to continue to read this series.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – from thinking back on it, I think I should have chosen three stars.
The next one I finished was actually an audiobook of Paper Princess by Erin Watt read by Angela Goethals, I gave this a four out of five stars on goodreads and I was excited to listen to the second one but when I think back on this book, as much as it kept me hooked and intrigued, I feel that the main character Ella was a bit meh, her character was a bit childish and all she wanted to do was run away when everything just ended up at her feet, I might listen to the second one, I might not maybe one day soon.
Candidate by Rachel E Carter, I received this as an e-copy as I am a part of Rachel’s review team and this series is just fabulous and I’m excited to read the Last Stand, the final installment in the Black Mage series, I’ve reviewed the first three books and I shall leave links to all three.. First Year, Apprentice and Candidate.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Gilded Cage by Vic James, this was a good read and I’m excited to buy the second book Tarnished City later this year.
Lost Boy by Christina Henry, I read this so quick and I loved this retelling so much! It’s out on July 7th and it’s about Captain Hook when he was one of Peter Pan’s lost boys. I have also reviewed this so I will leave the link below.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ewan Pendle and the White Wraith by Shaun Hume, I read this because I saw that this was good if you were having Harry Potter withdrawals so I gave it a try and I wasn’t disappointed it was a good read and I can’t wait for the second one to come one day! Review for this is also below!
So that is all that I have read in June and I’m hoping to set the goal to read a few more books than 6 throughout July!
