wrap up

November | Weekly Wrap Up #3

A late post for my weekly wrap up as I was supposed to upload this Saturday but here’s the books that I read and got last week! 🙂

I managed to read SIX books this week:

  1. A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi ★★★★★ – THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING, you gotta go read it now just all the feelsss!
  2. The Merciless by Danielle Vega ★★★☆☆ – this one was weird, I liked it but I’m not entirely sure if I wish to carry this series on yet
  3. Cress by Marissa Meyer ★★★★☆ – This was so so good and I’m diving into Winter ASAP! It’s a chunky 800+ pages but I will do it!
  4. Time Bomb by Joelle Charbonneau ★★★☆☆ – Eh, this was okay. Wasn’t for me and I felt it wasn’t done as well as it could’ve been.
  5. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness ★★★★☆ – I have never read any reviews of this or the movie or even the blurb so I WENT INTO THIS THINKING IT WAS A CREEPY READ!!  BOY WAS I WRONGGGGG. That ending, my heart! Was not expecting that whatsoever.
  6. Athena By Ashli and Trisha Edwards ★★★★★ – I have a review of this upcoming very shortly so keep an eye out for that!

And I bought EIGHT books:

  • For Muse of Fire by Heidi Heilig – this is the Litjoy exclusive, it’s gorgeous!
  • Hollow City by Ransom Riggs – I’ve been meaning to grab the rest of the series in hardback and I found this one for less than £4 AND it came in such good condition!
  • Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
  • Map of Days by Ransom Riggs – Waterstones exclusive, I think it has extra content? Not 100% sure about this.
  • How To Make Friends With The Dark by Kathleen Glasgow – I got this arc from RockTheBoat and I can’t wait to read it!
  • This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada – Still need to read the first one but couldn’t pass up those edges! AND ITS FLOPPY!
  • Evolution by Teri Terry – Still need to read the first two but I wanted it to match my editions with the stained edges.
  • Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa – I’ve heard so much about this so I knew I needed to grab a copy to read!

And that is a wrap for now! Do you plan to read any of the books mentioned here? Or have you read them? :3
