Re-reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

I haven’t been posting much lately so I thought I’d do a quick post on Throne of Glass! :3

THE 992 PAGE SOUL CRUSHING BOOK IS INCOMING SO I’m currently rereading the entire Throne of Glass series! So far I’ve read Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight and I’m currently reading (for the first time) Assassin’s Blade as I’m waiting for Heir of Fire and the rest of the series to turn up as I got rid of my paperback copies for the GORGEOUS hardback editions! Out of all the Throne of Glass books I’ve not read Assassin’s Blade and Tower of Dawn so I’m definitely going to get them read before Kingdom of Ash comes out.

*there will be spoilers coming up so if you aren’t up to date with the series, I don’t recommend reading on. Mainly only talking about the first two for now.

I can’t believe that the series is coming to an end but I feel that it’s definitely time for it to end anyway. I can’t remember what I rated any of these books first time around as I never used Goodreads that much back then to keep track of my books but so far I’ve given both Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight five stars, I feel like I’ve fallen in love with it all over again even more. I don’t usually reread books especially if they’re long series but I had forgotten absolutely everything and I think I used rush through reading these books trying to devour it as much as I could at once.

Throne of Glass, I loved reading all about Celaena Sardothien again, I feel like she disappears a lot when she’s known again as Aelin Galathynius, I don’t know if that’s just me?? But considering I haven’t actually gotten to that part in my reread of the series I will have to wait and see if I still think the same thing when I actually catch up.

Some thoughts throughout my reread of the first two books:

Celaena is such a badass lead character, I can’t believe I hesitated to read this series the first time because I wasn’t sure I would like it and now it’s one of my favourites.

I still love Dorian, I did want him to be with Celaena when I first read this book but during my reread of it, as much as I love him he deserves someone different ahem Manon 👀

I will forever ship Chaolena, you can’t stop me, I love them together.

SARAH WHY DID YOU KILL OFF NEHEMIA?! 💔💔💔 I’m still salty about her death

and all the events that happens after this with Chaolena 😩💔

I’m really excited to read Assassin’s Blade for the first time and reread Heir of Fire and meet Manon again!

Did you (or currently) reread the series to refresh yourself before Kingdom of Ash? Are you excitedly terrified of the final instalment of this series? I know that I am!

    1. I’ve only managed to read a couple of chapters of it so far but I heard that you might need tissues by the end of it 😩
