Thank you to the author, Grayson Grave, for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a review!

I really enjoyed reading this book in which we follow Etty Steele, a vampire hunter whose powers haven’t yet developed, so she doesn’t have any super strength or speed, her mother is also a fierce vampire hunter, training her daughter to follow in her footsteps.

After Etty’s summer holidays are over and she returns to primary school, Year 6, and there’s a new boy in class, Etty realises he’s a vampire and she doesn’t know how to stake him without everyone knowing. She couldn’t tell her mum in case she got it wrong like once before so she tries to find out more about him without actually being alone, because vampire are evil and all they want is blood.. right?

I had moments where this book just reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at times, Etty is a vampire hunter and her best friend April is a witch, I really loved all of the characters in this book. It was such good fun to read though and because this is a middle grade book, it is rather short which meant I could devour it in one sitting, which I did. It was such a good read and I’m really looking forwards to what happens next in this world!

I thought that this book was a cute read and it’s well written so it is enjoyable for younger and older audiences and I know that I will be keeping my eye out for news of the next book as I know it is currently just finished it’s first draft, you can find out more about this book on Grayson’s website, here.

This is the first book in the series, I’m not sure how many books will be in this series yet but I 100% recommend that you get yourself a copy if not for you, perhaps for your children! It’s currently less than £5 on Amazon UK right now!! Link’s below for places to buy and more info :3
