Title: Buffy The Vampire Slayer: A Picture Book
Based on the series created by: Joss Whedon
Illustrator: Kim Smith
Publisher: Quirk Books
My Rating: ★★★★☆
Thank you Jamie-Lee at Quirk Books for sending me a copy of this book to read and review!
When I received the email asking if I would want to review a book about Buffy, I was so excited, that I didn’t actually read the email properly to realise it was a picture book. But I love Buffy so much that I didn’t mind and I was still happy to read and review this, however I will admit, I’ve got no idea how to review this whatsoever.
This picture book is about Buffy as a child when she just finds out the she is a Slayer, we even meet Xander and Willow, Buffy’s two best friends who know that she’s a Slayer. Here’s a page out of the book just so that you can see some illustrations from the book, plus this page doesn’t give anything away about the book.
If you’re an avid fan of this series, this is a good little book to read however it is very short and you could read it within 10 minutes. This is mainly projected towards children but anyone of all ages can read it!
The illustrations I thought were super cute, as was the entire book altogether and it was also a great little story to read about. However I’d love to read Buffy The Vampire Slayer graphic novel, assuming these are thing, I’m going to have to do some research to find out! If you know, please let me know in the comments, I’d appreciate it! 🙂
I now desperately want to rewatch the series, but I don’t have the dvd’s and Netflix took it down 😭 I think it’s time that I invested in getting myself the DVD’s! Buffy is such a bad ass and I don’t think the series will ever get old.
If you want any more information on this book here is the Goodreads link or you can message me 🙂
Now please excuse me while I go find a way to start watching Buffy all over again. Byeeee!
