Five Things Friday

HAPPY FRIDAY! It’s time for Five Things Friday which is a meme that is hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads where you answer five different questions which is pretty much a weekly recap! I haven’t done one of these in a while so I know it was past time I did!

Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J Maas, I got this gorgeous edition to match my Wonder Woman and Batman ones and I’m currently buddy reading this with Suzanne (@bookmarvel)

Two – Fav Book of the Week

So far I’ve only finished The Forest Queen by Betsey Cornwell this week but I’ve almost finished Allied by Amy Tintera so I think that these two will be tied!

Three – When I Wasn’t Reading

Not been an exciting week to be honest, my days have consisted of walking the dogs and work but yesterday I did do some food shopping with my grandma..

Four – Pic of the Week

I’m going to do this based on what photo got the most likes on my bookstagram! 🙂 (@niffler_reads), don’t these books look absolutely gorgeous next to each other?!

Five – Looking Ahead

I’m currently taking part in the 25in5 readathon, I’m at 2 hours and 5 minutes so far so I’ve got a ways to go, this started yesterday (Thursday 9th) and ends on Monday (13th). Otherwise I’ve got no major plans other than relaxing(ish) at the weekend! 🙂

      1. You know, this probably will make me sound dumb, but i only really made the connection between the dci icons and title when i was more than half way through the story. In my defense, i never read the synopsis. I liked the title, heard about the author, so i decided to give it a try. had i known back then it was a dci retelling, i wouldn’t have read it. Maybe that’s why i didn’t read the other two.

        1. There are so many out there that aren’t related to the actual movies that sometimes you just don’t notice! Batman is about him discovering he wants to become Batman pretty much, so he’s not even Batman yet.. I thought Batman was a good read, I recommend it but I put it apart from the films and comics etc.

          1. I was never interested in Batman or Catwoman, or spiderman and so on. I liked superman, though. I do like Sarah Maas and Marie Lu, but i can’t see myself reading these two books. Like i said, if i knew going in what wonder woman was about, i wouldn’t have picked that one up either. have you read Cat woman yet?

    1. They’re UK hardbacks, Wonder Woman is now rare but think you can still get Batman and Catwoman 😊 try waterstones for the ISBN and check everywhere you can 😂
