YALC Haul!

YALC WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I’m so happy that I got to meet so many lovely people and I’m totally going back next year for at least two days.

I got 25 books from YALC so I’m going to do it by publisher stall!

IMG_5926.JPGFirst up I went directly to the BKMRK stand like so many other people and grabbed the signed edition of the Shadow and Bone trilogy and a sampler of King of Scars.

The second thing I did was go to Harper Collins stall and I picked up All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis, Bloodprint by Ausma Zehanat Khan, Dazzling Heights by Katherine McGee, Fawkes by Nadine Brandes, Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton and A Thousand Beginnings and Endings by various authors.

From Ink Road books I grabbed a full cover of Nowhere Else But Here by Rachel Cotton which was signed.

Hashtag Reads I grabbed Jinxed by Amy McCulloch which was signed!

From Waterstones I got Are We All Lemmings and Snowflakes by Holly Bourne, Show Stealer by Hayley Barker and Lost Witch by Melvin Burgess.

From the Bloomsbury stall, I got my house edition of Slytherin in hardcover and I won the competition to win a signed (by Levi Pinfold) art print of my house!

From Melia Publishing Service I got three hardcover copies which were Beast Made Of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi, The Queen Underneath by Stacey Filak and A Room Away From Wolves by Nova Ren Suma and because I got three full covers I got three free arcs and I choose Love and War by Melissa De La Cruz, I Am Still Alive by Kate Marshall and What You Left Me by Bridget Morrissey!

I saw people walking around with Children of Blood and Bone tote bags so I went to My Kinda Book to find out how to pick one up and I had to buy three books for it so I got Queens of Fennbirn by Kendare Blake, Wild Blue Wonder by Carlie Sorosiak and There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. I also picked up some posters of Renegades, Floored and Ash Princess.

There was an indie stall, where I picked up Dark Queen by Josephine Boyce and atomeintheclouds had her bookmarks on sale so I grabbed a Slytherin one!

A couple things that aren’t bookish and didn’t buy there were things from friends from bookstagram! Jordan from paperflamecandleco gave me two candles, a bookmark and some tea, and Sam from elvenwickcandles made us some gorgeous YALC candles and I also got some tea. Also Abbey (@abbeysbooktopia) bought me a Luna pop funko from Tesco which I paid her for πŸ™‚

I didn’t get many books signed in the end, I got all my Holly Bourne books signed and Floored by Holly and Lisa Williamson!

Did you go to YALC? Did you get a major book haul or did you restrain yourself? :3

  1. I was at YALC too and came back with a haul of 28 books (not including the 6 I took down to get signed). Out of your haul, the only one I came back with was The Dark Queen which sounds really intriguing, and I didn’t realise until I looked it up on Goodreads that it is an early release, which is cool.

    1. Just checked your blog post to see what books you got πŸ™Š Oh I didn’t realise it was an early release! I thought it sounded really interesting 😊

      1. I didn’t know that before I looked on Goodreads earlier. I think they had a few early releases though because I also picked up Price’s Guide to the Occult which isn’t out in the UK yet.

  2. I came home with 20 new books, There’s Someone Inside Your House is such a good book, I loved it. I bought three books so I got a Children of Blood and Bone tote too. I came home with about 7 new tote bags, but you can never have too many totes.

    1. A nice good haul then πŸ˜‰ I really enjoyed There’s Someone Inside Your House but I had it as an e-arc so needed a FC! :3 and definitely, need all the tote bags you can get, I only came home with two though!
