Books Read In May!

I managed to read 22 books this month three of which were rereads!

  1. The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Stevens ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                 I thought that this was an incredible contemporary read and I think it’s a book that everyone should read!
  2. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                 The novella that we’ve all been waiting for! I thought this was such a perfect little book, don’t get me wrong I wish that it was a full on book containing more about Feyre and Rhys because I know that their story is over, I enjoyed it and I’ve seen people who didn’t like it but I think that they perhaps expected a little bit too much from such a short read??
  3. Beast’s Heart by Leife Shallcross ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                  I loved this retelling from the Beast’s point of view, I’ve been super hyped for this ever since I saw the arcs of it! I thought perhaps it could’ve been a bit shorter but nonetheless I enjoyed it!
  4. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J K Rowling ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                      Continuing my reread of this series, I obviously loved this book and because it had been a long time since I read it, there was so much that I had forgotten due to watching the movies so much!
  5. Crowns of Croswald by D E Night ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                          I have reviewed this book so if you wish to read my review for this it is linked! 🙂
  6. Royals by Rachel Hawkins ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                        This was such a cute and quick read, I recommend this!
  7. Witchsign by Den Patrick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                   DAMN THIS BOOK WAS GOOD NOW GIVE ME THE NEXT ONE NOW! I recommend this, go read it, I believe it’s officially out now!
  8. The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                             I went into this not really knowing what it was about and I have no regrets, it was A-MAZ-ING! The ending though broke my heart so I definitely think you should read this book, like now.
  9. Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5                                         I’ve been meaning to read this book for years and I finally decided to get around to it and I wished I had started it earlier, I’ve instantly bought the next book!
  10. Genesis by Brendan Reichs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                       THIS WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK, IF YOUV’E NOT YET READ NEMESIS HERE IS MY REVIEW FOR THAT ONE! Apparently there is a third book to this even though Genesis rounded up really nicely!
  11. Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                 I buddy read this with Suzanne (@bookmarvel instagram) and I thought this was a good read, I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to pick up the second book just yet though.
  12. The Unbound by Victoria Schwab ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                          The Archived was good so I had to finish reading the duology, apparently there is a third book that has been plotted and outlined but there’s no release date for it as of yet.
  13. Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann ⭐⭐⭐.5                                                                     I also buddy read with Suzanne, I liked this book but it wasn’t everything I was expecting, I thought the characters were a bit whiny and there were moments I thought that Feenie was a horrible friend to Alice and it classed as a normal thing??
  14. Beyond A Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                        I buddy read this with Emily (@booklepuff instagram) and I really enjoyed this, I loved the Celtic and Norse mythology aspect of it a lot!
  15. Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix by J K Rowling ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                          Again, another reread of Harry Potter series, I love this series so much, rereading them this year is the best decision I have made!
  16. Caraval by Stephanie Garber ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                              I thought I’d better reread this book so that I’m all caught up in time for Legendary! 😍 It was so much better to read the second time around and I kinda regret rereading it before I actually have Legendary in my hands because I’M SO DESPERATE TO READ IT! I NEED IT IN MY LIFE NOW PLS.
  17. Legendary by Stephanie Garber ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                              IT ARRIVED SUPER EARLY AND I WAS SO HAPPY BECAUSE I COULDN’T READ ANYTHING AFTER CARAVAL SO I DEVOURED IT ONCE I GOT HOME AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING AND I WANT FINALE IN MY GRABBY HANDS ALREADY!!! Now I need all things Caraval and Legendary in my life ❤️❤️ (if anyone has an arc of either I’m desperately searching for them 😍😉)
  18. A Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5                                                                             I enjoyed this sequel, it was interesting and I loved it, I’ve just ordered the third and final book in the series so I can finish it! ❤️
  19. All Of This Is True by Lygia Day Peñaflor ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                        I’ve been looking forwards to reading this book for a while and I spotted it in Waterstones and I devoured it the same day, I really enjoyed it, so much I actually wanted a read a book that it mentioned inside this book which isn’t even real!
  20. A Darker Shade of Magic by V E Schwab ⭐⭐⭐                                                                    Some of you may be disappointed by my lack of stars.. because of how hyped this book was, I expected far too much and I was a bit disappointed, I liked it and I’m definitely going to be finishing the series though!
  21. Dread Nation by Justina Ireland ⭐⭐⭐⭐                                                                                   THIS BOOK WAS FAB, I’m excited for the next book in the series, the characters were amazing and I recommend this book for sure!
  22. A Line In The Dark by Malinda Lo ⭐⭐                                                                              SUPER DISAPPOINTED! I thought this was a creepy thriller book but turns out, it’s not, it’s a contemporary mystery, it was just so boring, the first half was slow and nothing really happened, the second half of the book was where it got a bit more interesting but I still didn’t care and I guessed what would happen… I had such high hopes and I’m so upset!

What was your favourite read of May? Mine was Legendary 🙊
