Weekly Wrap Up | April Part Two

Part One

I bought 16 books for the second half of April, 26 altogether including part one.

  • Genesis by Brendan Reichs – I saw this a little early in Waterstones and couldn’t resist picking it up!
  • Fates Divided by Veronica Roth – Got a beautiful signed copy from Waterstones, I’m a little disappointed it doesn’t have sprayed edges like the first one did.
  • Firstlife by Gena Showalter – I had this in paperback but I got Everlife in hardback so I had to get the first one in hardback too!
  • Magicians by Lev Grossman – I’ve been hearing a lot about the show of this book and I wanted to read it before I decide to watch it, I’ve heard it’s different but then again, most book adaptations are!
  • Inherited by Freedom Matthews – I got this on Twitter, I think I paid like £5 roughly for it, it’s signed.
  • The Unbound by Victoria Schwab – I enjoyed reading The Archived so I bought this so that I could read it ASAP!
  • If Birds Fly Back by Carlie Sorosiak – I got this and
  • A Quiet Kind Of Thunder by Sara Barnard – this book on a twitter and just paid postage, they are both arcs, I’ve read If Birds Fly Back last year and I hope to read A Quiet Kind of Thunder soon!
  • Dread Nation by Justina Ireland – Saw this in Waterstones, I had a £10 gift voucher and it’s so pretty that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get it!
  • Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge – I’ve already read this but I wanted to get it in hardback to match my other books by her.
  • Ink, Iron and Glass by Gwendolyn Clare – I won this and
  • The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Stevens – this on a giveaway over on Twitter, they’re both so pretty I can’t wait to read them!
  • Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J K Rowling – Book Depository had the US paperback of this for about half price (it’s the Hogwarts spine edition).
  • Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson – I found this on Amazon for cheap and I had all of her other books so far except this so for now my collection is complete.
  • Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann – I’m buddy reading
this next month with Suzanne (@bookmarvel)
  • Beast’s Heart by Leife Shallcross – This
  • BOOKHAULwas super cheap on ebay it’s currently around for like £20.99?! Which is a bit much for a book for me so I was happy when I found it for less than a tenner!
  • City of Brass by S A Chakraborty – I got this
  • Splintered by A J Howard – and this on Twitter for £5.95, I only paid for Splintered and postage due to City of Brass being an arc!

I’ve read 8 books for the second half of April and overall I read a total of 16 books.

  1. Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OMG THIS BOOK, I’m dying for the second book to be in my hands right now, this was INCREDIBLE! If you haven’t picked this up yet, why not? I promise you won’t regret it, I loved this even more than her first book Daughter of the Burning City and that was good too!
  2. Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have done a review for this book if you want to find out more about it and why I loved it!
  3. In Search Of by Ava Dellaria ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this as much as I did, I got this to review and I didn’t go into this with high expectations but it was a lovely read.
  4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J K Rowling ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Obviously this book needs five stars. It’s Harry Potter. I’m not going to give any more explanation..
  5. Nowhere Else But Here by Rachel Cotton ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have reviewed this however my review will not be released until 2nd May 🙂
  6. A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I buddy read this with Suzanne (@bookmarvel) and I enjoyed it but I’m not entirely sure whether I’m getting the second book just yet, it’s not a priority for me.
  7. Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AOMFNDSKJF THAT ENDING OMG, I listened to most of this book by audiobook, the narrator is just PERFECT, I also read some of it as well it’s just such an amazing and unique series, I’m super excited for the next book and if you haven’t yet read Scythe I highly recommend that you do.
  8. Ink Iron and Glass by Gwendolyn Clare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – I throughly enjoyed this book, the premises of it was interesting, reminded me a bit of Inkheart by Cornelia Funke, I look forwards to the next book!

Birthday Gifts!
