After struggling slightly doing my January wrap up, I decided for February I would do book hauls every week so that it’s not so bad to take photos and remember what books I even got that month!
First up is the book haul, for February so far I have bought a total of eight books and one bookish candle!
First up, over on Twitter I traded for a Caraval candle, Resist by Sarah Crossan which is the sequel to Breathe and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer and I also bought a Caraval Fairyloot signed edition off of her which came with the Fairyloot letter!
Next through another trade over on Twitter, I got The Taking by Kimberly Derting! I loved The Pledge and have been meaning to get this book for a while!
I went to The Works the other week and couldn’t resist buying the BEAUTIFUL US editions of Magnus Chase: The Sword of Summer and The House of Hades, both by Rick Riordan, they were £3 each, £6 in total which was a right bargain!
I took a chance on Amazon used section when I saw City of Fallen Angels in hardback for less than a fiver, I didn’t have high hopes for it to actually be a hardcover, but alas it was, in perfect condition too!
Lastly, I bought Marie Lu’s Batman: Nightwalker from Book Depository in hardcover because it’s absolutely gorgeous, I’ve ordered Wonder Woman from Amazon which surprisingly they still had! I can’t wait for that to come so that they look beautiful on a shelf together.
Next up books read! I’ve managed a total of five books this month and two of which were review books.
Out of the Blue by Sophie Cameron – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – review for this is to come!
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – absolutely amazing and I wish I had book three in my possession!
Furyborn by Claire Legrand – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – this was such an interesting book, I loved the two different times in which the book is set in.
Secrets in the Ice by Atlanta Bushnell – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – this has been reviewed which you can find here.
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I buddy read this with Suzanne, @bookmarvel over on instagram, I loved the fairytale aspect of this, it was so good, I’m definitely going to get the hardcover for it eventually!
