In August I managed to read a total of 8 books! I attempted to stick to my TBR which I made a post about which you can find here. (although the pictures are missing, this is because I am such an idiot and I deleted all the photos which were on the WordPress gallery not realising that it would also delete them from every single post I had ever made. I couldn’t believe it!) Anyway, I completely did a 360 on my TBR and read whatever I felt like so first up is:
Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau, I throughly enjoyed this book, a lot, I’m excited for the sequel which I NEED RIGHT NOW! I hadn’t read any of Joelle’s other books, but I own The Testing so I’m thinking of picking it up soon!
Gemina by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman, the sequel to the amazing Illuminae, this book is so pretty and the illustrations inside! I wish there were more, but I’m hyped for the third book which is Obsidio which comes out next year.
Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold by Iain Reading, this is the first book in a series, which I kindly got as a review book and the link for my review of this book is here.
With Malice by Eileen Cook, I liked this book but it wasn’t really what I thought it was going to be like, it was kind of slow and just dragged on a bit, its a good read if you want a bit of a change but I definitely won’t be rereading this book in the future.
The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokski, I loved this book, it was interesting and beautifully written, I highly recommend this book and I will be picking up the next book in the series.
The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead, I liked this, it was good, I like Richelle as an author, I loved her Vampire Academy series, though this doesn’t match up to that series, I think I will be reading the next book in this series.
A Semi Definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland, THIS WAS SO GOOD, I got this as a review copy and the link to my review is here. It was quick to read and I got through it quite quickly, I haven’t read Krystal’s other work but I will be picking up Our Chemical Hearts very soon!
Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts, this was my final book of the month, I managed to read this within two days, it was an enjoyable book, I just need the sequel ASAP, I highly recommend this book and I just love the cover of this book as well!
So that was my August wrap up, have you read any of these? If so, did you enjoy them or were they not for you? Let me know!
