August Book Haul!

I bought and received 28 books this month, a few I got from trading over on Twitter using #booksfortradeuk, most of them I bought and the rest are ones I won and to review!

Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor: I got this book via a trade over on Twitter so this is actually my second copy of the book as I wanted to deface one and didn’t want it to go wrong! – I haven’t actually read this book yet though I am on chapter 2!

Nyxia by Scott Reintgen and Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser: two arcs that I got also via a trade over on Twitter – I’m so excited to start reading both of these books soon!

The Waking Land by Callie Bates: I got this on Twitter using books for trade, I own this as a full cover but I just love the arc cover, it is absolutely beautiful!

Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly: My last trade book that I got in August, I haven’t read this yet but I now own the first three books in the series!

Brisingr by Christopher Paolini: I got this in a charity shop near me, I own the first two, I haven’t read them yet but really wanted to read this series and to get them in hardback is cheap at the store!

Destined, Hunted, Burned by P.C and Kristin Cast: I have already read this series and I love it so much, just I have some in paperback and some in hardcover that I wanted to replace them but annoyingly Hunted came as a US version but I’m not too fussed for now.

History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera, The Potion Diaries: Royal Tour by Amy Award, A Change is Gonna Come by Various Authors, I got these from WHSmith where they were doing a 3 for 2 on all children’s and teen fiction books and I saw these and had to get them!

House of Furies by Madeleine Roux: I saw this in Waterstones and just HAD to get it, I loved Asylum which I need to finish the last book so I’m excited to read her next book!

Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett: I won this via a book website, it sounds amazing and I can’t wait to get stuck into it!

The Changeling’s Journey by Christine Spoors, Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, I ordered these from Amazon, I heard so much about The Changeling’s Journey so I’m excited to get around to it, I order Wayfarer because it was cheap and now I can binge read the duology, and I needed the new covers of TID series so I could reread the Shadowhunter world!

The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter: The third book in the Goddess Test trilogy (I believe), I read the second book a while ago but was waiting for the price of this one to go down a bit before I bought it.

In The After Light by Alexandra Bracken, I got this at the beginning of the month, I finally managed to get the entire series in hardcover, hoping to finish the series soon!

Loved by P.C and Kristin Cast: Another book to go with the House of Night series! It continues on a year after the last book so I need to read this soon!

Royal Bastards by Andrew Shvarts, I’ve been so hyped for this ever since I found out about the book!

The Bone Season and The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon: I got both of these in hardcover for less than £6 over at Better World Books – they have fantastic bargins on their website!

Aaru by David Meredith, I got an email asking if I could review this book, it sounded good and had good reviews on Goodreads so I was more than happy to give this book a try!

Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency Series by Iain Reading: After I had reviewed the first book in this series, I was offered the next two books to also read so I’m incredibly grateful and excited to continue this series!
